We need a full inspection and test of our electrical installation (Electrical Installation Condition Report)
As a guide, the cost of an Electrical Installation Condition Report is usually £15 + VAT per circuit for inspections carried out Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, £20 + VAT per circuit for inspections carried out during a weekend and £22.50 + VAT per circuit for inspections carried out overnight. To see how many circuits you have, add up the number of circuit breakers in your distribution boards. However, as commercial installations vary considerably we will need to carry out a survey in order to provide an accurate quotation.
In addition, the scope and/or limitations imposed on the inspection and testing must be agreed before any work is carried out. You may need to check with your insurance company to confirm their requirements in terms of the percentage of the installation that must be checked. Please be aware of companies offering very cheap rates for inspection and testing, this will usually be for a reason and often means that only a small percentage of your system will be checked. This may not be enough to satisfy your insurance company.
